With not many options for lunch in the downtown trenton area, jeans kitchen is a welcomed addition to the food scene. This is my third visit, each dish has been awesome. The food is GREAT and is served quickly. I strongly suggest you get it a try. The cornbread is to die for. I promise . Warning. They are closed on mon and tues.

Wow!!! I got the fried fish platter and it was amazing. The fish was super yummy and the Mac and cheese was great. The cornbread was the best I’ve ever had, still warm and obviously homemade.

My favorite is the curry chicken, white rice and I absolutely Loooove their cabbage! Could eat it daily! But wait! Grab 3 or more slices of that cornbread!!! Ya won’t be disappointed!!! Try it today suga bumps! You’ll be hooked!

I take great pleasure in this review… The order was fried shrimp, collard greens and yams on a Wednesday work day, Let’s call the cook Uncle because he leaned out of the kitchen to make sure his nephew was on point with his customer service. The seasoning on the shrimp, had me wanting more, the yams and greens allowed me to converse with myself saying “About time I can enjoy a good tasty meal that’s price worthy, in this area. Trust me, you will not be disappointed! RYRED

I order from Jean's Kitchen often. The brown stew chicken, mac n cheese, string beans, collard greens, potato salad, shrimp, yams, banana pudding and cornbread are delicious.

ard to maker it home without wanting to take a bite. The restaurant was super clean both inside and out. I think it is a husband and wife that own and run it along with their daughter. What I typically find is that soul food places up north usually make good meats and proteins, but their sides are mediocre. Trust me when I tell you. Not this place. Jean's kitchen nailed everything. I ordered the fried bass platter candied yams and cabbage for my sides. The fish was a nice golden brown and fried to perfection. I hate to say it but the yams rival my Mama's, which that is not easy to do and the cabbage may be the best I tasted in forever. I also got a order of wings which were fried nicely as well, a little too salty for me, but I'm not really a fan of salt. It came with a piece of cornbread all I'll say about that is......THAT CORNBREAD UMMMM UMMM UMMM. The prices and portions are good. This will be my go to spot when I want to treat myself. Jean's kitchen staff, you all are doing an awesome job keep it up.

The food here is absolutely on point, we haven't had a bad experience yet. The fired fish is great and the yams + mac is spot on!! Definitely a good to spot!!

This place has amazing food! I found it when I was googling restaurants in Trenton. I'm a new resident and I'm checking out good places to eat. The reviews were good and I am happy to add another 5 star review to their page. The fish was seasoned perfectly. Not too salty but big on flavor. The mac and cheese was very good. It reminds me of soul food in the South. The cabbage was also good. Overall the food was seasoned well. The lady behind the counter was very pleasant and I didn't have to wait too long for my food. I will definitely eat from there again. I can't wait to try the Caribbean food.

This is the best Jamaican/Southern place I’ve encountered. Made me feel at home. Portions are huge and worth the money. I had the stew chicken with rice and peas to satisfy the Jamaican food I NEEDED lol and the baked Mac n cheese with collard greens to satisfy my southern taste buds. Come with super good cornbread as well. Super fulfilling. The lady was also very sweet. Later on I also got the Rasta pasta and requested it to be spicy and it hit the Spot! Thank you!!
